The article is based on the author's memories of his joint activities with O. V. Sharov in the commercial organization “Farn” in the ‘90s of the last century. It tells about the peculiarities of the time in which the events described by the author took place, about the understanding of what is happening and the plans for the future of their participants, about the relations within St. Petersburg archaeological community. It was then that Oleg's bright personal sides as an archaeologist, a leader and just a wonderful friend were clearly manifested, and the author of the text recalls him with pleasure, friendly warmth and light sadness, inviting those readers who personally knew Oleg Sharov, to share his feelings.
