In 1978—1982, a large aristocratic homestead was excavated by the Archaeological Expedition of the Institute of Archaeology of Russian Academy of Sciences, in Saray (Selitrennoe hillfort, Astrakhan district) — the Golden Horde capital. This paper published finds from the potter’s workshop 14-th century which produce silicius pseudo-celadon wares, a local imitation of the Chinese celadon.
