The article continues a series of publications of materials of the 2 nd century BC— 2 nd century AD from the research of the Early Slavic expedition of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Upper Don region. The work examines the sites of the Late Scythian archaeological culture in the upper reaches of the Voronezh River (Staevo-3, 4, 5, 10, 12). These sites are located on a relatively high terrace and in the floodplain of the right bank of the river. The excavated sites are dated: Staevo-5 — 2 nd century BC— 2 nd century AD, Staevo-4 and Staevo-10 — 1st—2 nd centuries AD.
For the first time, the author publishes the materials of the settlement Staevo-10, as well as some new finds from Staevo-4 and 5, and describes ceramics, a set of jewelry, weapons and horse equipment.
One of the most important problems of studying the complex of sites near the village Staevo is the question of the cultural and economic type of the Late Scythian population of the Upper Don region. The absence of stationary dwellings and economic structures on them shows that these settlements were short-lived and represent the remains of summer camps of nomads. The population of the Late Scythian culture of the Upper Don region was mostly sedentary, but it also included nomadic groups.

Keywords: late Scythian archaeological culture, upper reaches of the Voronezh River, 2nd century BC—2nd century AD
