The article studies a coin necklace from a burial devastated by the robbers in 1997. According to the authors, five out of the six preserved copper coins are of Hersones coinage of IV-III centuries B. C., and one of the Bosphorus king Sauromates I (93-124 A. D.). Although a few centuries separate these issues, the wear shown by the later element demonstrates that the necklace was produced as early as the second half of II century B. C.
