The article reviews history of piracy mutinies in the context of the French colonization of Florida in 1564-1565. It examines the detailed description of history of Carolina fort, which became a source of piracy actions on coasts of Cuba, Jamaica and Bahamas. This research offers the opportunity to look into how mercenary influenced early colonial expansion.
