The paper analyzes the material culture of the people who lived in the North-West Black Sea in the III millennium BC (Bugeac and Catacomb culture). The grave artifacts with analogies in other archaeological cultures set the chronological frames. Along with radiocarbon dates, they allow to date burials in the stratigraphic layers in tumuli. This approach allows to relate grave goods with the chronological periods of the Bugeac culture. In some cases, a more precise dating is possible within one or two centuries. The attribution of early and late complexes of material culture is one of the components for the reconstruction of the historical development of the North-Western Black Sea region in the early Bronze Age.
