The author suggests that ancient Greek colony Ophyussa-Tyras at the Dniester river was founded by Aeolians. The initial location of the Ophyussa was at the place of settlement of aborigines near modern village Chobruchy (Republic of Moldova). The technology of grey Aeolian pottery came to the Middle Dniester through Ophyussa.
