The author discusses amulets — metal pendants, found in the North Pontic region. These are pendants in shape of herms, birds, human masks, “pine-cones”, amphorae, anthropomorphic figurines. The majority of such finds are found in the Crimea, which should be regarded as one of cultural features of the barbarian population of the region. The article corrects some chronological positions of pendants of different types and outlines some tendencies in the burial rite, for example dependence of the composition of pendants on the age of the buried persons.
