This study of burial complexes with weapons from underground burial grounds on the sites of settlements of the Neo-Eneolithic is of a complex nature. The main task of the work was to collect and analyze all archaeological, paleozoological, anthropological, soil science studies and radiocarbon dating data.
We used osteometric and osteoscopic methods. The other important components of the research are the study of the limb proportions, reconstruction of the body’s length, estimation of bone massiveness, documentation of traces of pathological changes on bones and development of muscular relief (enthesial morphology). Morphological analysis of the postcranial skeleton shows the difference in the population living in the settlements of Ksizovo 6 and Vasilyevsky Kordon 17 and 27.
As a result of the study, a number of features in the burial rites in the Neolithic and Early Metal Age of the region were revealed. New dates of burial complexes are published. The diversity of hunting in the Neolithic and Early Metal Age on the Upper Don region is confirmed.
