The paper is devoted to the assemblages of several Middle Palaeolithic sites of the Dniester-Prut interfluvial (Moldova and adjacent regions of Ukraine), which show substantial similarities in main technological and typological characteristics, but are clearly different from the local Micoquian and Typical Mousterian industries. This group, described earlier as the “Duruitory-Stinka Unity” (Anisyutkin 2001) can be further subdivided into two chronological subgroups. The first one (Duruitory subgroup) existed form the beginning of Riss to the Early Wurm interstadial (Amersfort), while the second (Stinka subgroup) can be dated to Wurm itself, including OIS 3 and 4. The transition from the former to the latter was associated with the appearance of numerous and typical bifaces with leaf-shaped points among them.
