The paper presents some data important for the reconstruction of stratigraphical and spatial context of Neanderthal bones from layers III and IIIa of the multilayered Micoquian site of Zaskal’naya VI (Kolosovskaya) (Crimea). The authors describe the stratigraphy of the site and analyze in detail the position and character of occurrence of layers III and IIIa, as well as palaeoanthropological finds from these layers. The analysis is based to a large extent on the unpublished archival materials.
