The author reviews a reprint of the book of articles by M. Ia. Siuziumov (1893 - 1982). The edition is dedicated to the 110th birthday anniversary of this outstanding Russian byzantologist. The practice of such reprint, traditional for the international Byzantine studies, has enjoyed a wide application in Russia. The reviewed book takes its worthy place among other Russian publications of this kind, and, despite of all objections and wishes, leaves the most favorable impression.
