The article is dedicated to the correlation of the Mahanjar Neolithic culture of the TurgaiDepression and the Neolithic sites of Middle Asia and Mangyshlak (Oyukly and Daryasaysites). The question is raised about the alleged migration of the Neolithic tribes of Middle Asia and Mangyshlak to the territory of Turgai. The authors discuss penetration ofthe Trans-Ural Neolithic groups into Turgaiterritory (Koshkino, Kozlovsko-Poludenskaya, Boborykino). Turgai, most likely, had been a transition territory between the “forest” and “southern steppe” zones since the Neolithic era and played an important role in the migration processes of the Eurasian steppes.
