The article presents reconstructions of dietary practices of the population of Panticapaeum and Phanagoria based on the analysis of stable isotope values of carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N). The diet of the inhabitants of Panticapaeum was characterized by considerable heterogeneity; for most people, access to meat and fish was limited. The diet of the Phanagorians consisted mainly of terrestrial plants and animals. Among the inhabitants of the two cities, some people may have eaten millet. Gender and sociocultural differences in the diet of the inhabitants of Phanagoria are revealed. This study opens new opportunities for studying social, cultural, and economic differences between the populations of the Bosporan cities.
