The article studies bone tools and mammalian remains from the Upper Palaeolithic open-air site of Byki -7. The site is located on the second alluvial terrace of the Seim River near Byki village (Kursk oblast’). About 70 bone tools and 775 bones have been recovered from the preliminary excavations at the Byki-7. The remains exhibit traces of stone tool cuts and ancient fractures. Animal bones were one of the most accessible sources that have been used to produce the tools.
