The paper presents the results of a comprehensive anthropological study of the skeleton from the Eneolithic burial discovered in the barrow near Kairy village, Gornostaevka district, Kherson region. The complex of craniological features and traces of various pathological processes on the bones allows us to suggest that the individual belongs to one of the cattle-breeding populations. These populations roamed in the Lower Dnieper basin in the 4th millennium BC. Their morphological type was formed on a local basis with the possible contribution from migrants from more eastern territories (the Caucasus, the Lower Volga region, the Caspian region). The anthropological data combined with the syncretic nature of the grave goods indicate probable inflow of small populations into the Lower Dnieper during the Late Eneolithic.
