The article defines the international status of Moldavia during the years of the war of Poland and Lithuania with the Teutonic Order. It is emphasized here that the Polish king Jagiello, helped by Alexander the Kind, managed to build a powerful consisting military alliance out of the states of the Carpathian-Danube region, which was directed against Hungary. That is why the attempt of the Hungarian King Sigismund of Luxemburg to set his ownership of Moldavia was a failure.
