The article is dedicated to the types of temple rings of 10th — 13th centuries in the Upper Volga area. The author presents the results of mapping, morphological study, correlation and chronological study of certain types of jewelry. The most wide-spread types of the temple rings are: bracelet-shaped temple rings with tied ends, prevailing in the western and central part of the Upper Volga, and small wire temple rings, common in the east and north-east of the Upper Volga. Other types of temporal rings are rather scarce, such as: bead, radial, blade, barrel-like, shield-like, curly, sickle-like. A concentration of bead rings is marked in the eastern and north-eastern parts of the Upper Volga region.

Keywords: jewelry, ancient Russia, archaeological sites, chronology, typology
