Until recently, there were three known private farmhouses, belonging to the second Greek period on the settlement “Chaika”. As a result of the excavation works of 2009—2010 in the south-eastern part of the settlement, another (fourth) Greek farmhouse was opened, built after the destruction of the original fortress at the end of the 4th BC. The two periods in existence of this farmhouse are marked by significant rearrangements, which are clearly traced. Its chronology is suggested by numerous amphorae labels and black-glazed pottery of late 4th — first third of the 3rd century BC. So far, the farmhouse owners’ craft can hardly be identified, unlike in the case of the other three farmhouse complexes on the “Chaika” settlement. Apparently, they were connected with the winery, which was still functional.
