The author studies dynastic history of Syndica after it became part of the Bosporan State and defines the role of Gorgippos, son of Satyros, in administration of this province, as a representative of Bosporan Spartocides and a possible hereditary Syndican dynast. The author uses written, first of all epigraphic, sources to study the fate of his descendants. He brings additional arguments to regard Gorgippos of Polyaenus's Stratagems and Gorgippos of Dinarchos's speech as the namesake grandfather and grandson. A link is found between the family of Syndica's ruler and a female representative of a famous Chersonesos family who bore Gorgippos's name.
