In 2011 magnetic survey was curried out at the Maydanetske large settlement of the Tripoliye culture using GPS driven 16 sensor fluxgate magnetometer developed by Sensys (FGM 650 B). Almost 90 hectares were measured for five days. The overall architectural pattern of the settlement as found by the older measurements was confirmed. But it proved to be more complex. Additionally, magnetic survey was also carried out at the Grebeniykiv Yar settlement, a smaller site of the early Tripolye culture. The measurements at this site remain inconclusive: the site was heavily disturbed by various kinds of modern construction work.
