At the end of the 19th century O. Almgreighn released a research work on the North-European fibulae of the first centuries A.D. The  south-eastern subdivision of the 7th  group fibulae embraces the basins of the Lower Danube, the Pruth, the Dniester and the Severski Donets rivers A. Ambros has worked out a more specific classification of this fibulae O. Almgreighn’s 7th group fibulae are included in group 18 of A. Ambros.
