The North Moldova’s territory is of great interest for investigations in Archaeology, Quaternary Palaeogeography and Palaeoclimate reconstructions. This region has important advantages for the reconstruction of the environmental conditions of Stone Age Man evolution. Numerous outcrops of the Late Pleistocene deposits, and multi layer Palaeolithic sites permitted to receive reliable palynological and palaeozoological data about the landscapes and climate changes in periglacial zone during the Eemian and Last Glacial. These advantages make the Middle Pruthian valley a key region for the investigations of human-nature relations and potential correlations of natural and social events on the earliest stages of Stone Age Man evolution. The author`s principal research has been directed towards a detailed biostratigraphical and geological study of the sediments of main multi layer Palaeolithic sites from the region of Buzdujeni, Brînzeni and Ciuntu. In the paper are also generalized many palaeogeographical records selected from more than 30 outcrops and some dozens of boreholes of aerial and alluvial sediments of the Pruthian terraces. This material allows to describe the clearly structured system of the Pruthian terraces as well as to reconstruct the palaeoenvironmental conditions of Stone Age Man evolution during the Middle and Upper Palaeolithic time.
