The article uses field survey finds collected by the author during her ethno-linguistic studies in villages from Zaječar and Bor counties (Serbia) in spring and summer of 2022. The article tells about the custom of dancing memorial hora (ora) that exists in Romanian villages in the Eastern Serbia. This custom can be observed on certain dates after death or on cetain calendar holidays. Field finds from Eastern Serbia are compared to the data published by Romanian, Serbian and Bulgarian researchers on similar customs observed in the neighboring countries and in other parts of Serbia.
