The burial was discovered while digging the tumulus No. 5 of the barrow necropolis at Usoe (village Asparukhovo, community of Dâlgopol, Varna), on 24 April 1979. The burial was discovered by D. Zlatarski, director (?) of the State Historical Museum in Dolgopol at the time. The required scientific documentation of the research, unfortunately, is absent, and the only data on the burial could be obtained from a draft plan made by D. Zlatarski, which shows that the burial contained cremation and was dug at the depth of 0.8m. There is also a list of finds, of which the museum at Dolgopol has the following:
1. GOLD EAR-RINGS (2 pieces) in form of lion (length 1 – 2.7 cm, length 2 – 2.5 cm).
2. SILVER FIBULA (fragment) (the remaining length – 1.4 cm).
3. BRONZE FIBULA (length 4.00 cm, height – 1.00 cm).
4. BRONZE MIRROR (length –10.4 cm).
5. BRONZE BRACELETS (2 pieces), fragmented and with traces of fire
6. CLAY AMPHORA (height – 32 cm, length (body) – 17 cm, length (mouth) – 5.3 cm, volume – about 2.70 – 2.75 litres).
7. CLAY AMPHORA (Rhodos) with markings on handles: :EPI KLEIT(O)MACoU // AGRIANI...; SOKRATEUS.
8. CLAY JAR (the remaining height – 15.5 cm, length (body) – 7.5 cm, length (foot) – 4.4 cm).
9. CLAY VESSEL (JAR?) (the remaining height – 17.8 cm, length (body) –14.4 cm, length (foot) - 8 cm.
According to the draft plan and the surviving note, the following other objects were found in the grave: iron scissors, various glass beads (22 pieces) and about 20 ceramic wares,  among which, besides the above mentioned ones, there were: black-lacquered kantharos, a jar of grey-black clay, a small dark grey jar with globular bottom, a small bowl of grey clay and a black bowl». Besides, the museum at Dolgopol keeps a clay lamp (length – 3.9 cm, width – 6.2 cm, height – 2.9 cm, Nо. АА010Э) with the inscription: “barrow Nî. 5, the eastern burial”. This lamp is likely to belong to the same grave.
The term of the eponym Kleitomachus - 205 BC is terminus post quem of the studied burial. The burial might be dated by the late III c. BC, after 205 BC, and if the Rhodos amphora contained wine and was buried with it as a grave good, it infers the date of 204 BC, as wine was good for consumption during 8-10 months after its production.
