The article discusses the hoard of metal objects found in 2014 at the village of Beryozovka in the Vetka district of the Gomel region (Republic of Belarus). The hoard included: 2 triangular fibulae, a chain with a pendant, a bracelet, and a bar from a copper alloy (brass), and also a fragment of an iron knife and two fragments of a buckle (?). The large triangular lamellar fibulae, imitating the Middle La Tène scheme, are essential for dating the hoard. This type of fibulae belongs to the VI variant of the so-called “Zarubintsy” fibulae.
Considering the absence of similar finds of large triangular plate fibulae of the VI variant in the Danube region, the Northern Black Sea region, and the Baltic region, the fibulae from the Beryozovka hoard are most likely of local origin.
In connection with the Danube impulse, the metal chain from the Beryozovka hoard deserves special attention. Such items go back to the La Tène chain belts of the Dalj-type, widely known in the Celtic and Celto-Illyrian-Thracian sites of the Danube region.
Territorially and chronologically, the Beryozovka hoard is associated with the Late Zarubintsy (post-Zarubintsy) culture. It confirms the existence of a special horizon of ornaments preceding champlevé enamels in Eastern Europe.
