The article discusses archaeological materials from the excavations of the Gulbog burial ground. Three burials have been investigated. One of the burials had a skeleton, which lies in a crouched position on the right side (male) with rich grave goods. According to the ceramic material, Gulbog’s burials can be attributed to the Vakhsh culture. The “herringbone” ornament, made by the technique of polishing the outer surface of the vessel, is characteristic of handmade pottery. Analogies with other monuments of the Parkhara-Kulyab valley — the burial grounds of Farkhor, Gelot, and Darnaichi — allow us to attribute the burials from Gulbog to the early phase of the Vakhsh culture and date them to the second half of the 3rd mill. BC.
