In 2021, through the efforts of one of the authors of this article, the National Museum of the History of Moldova received a small hoard of bronze items found in the forest northeast of the Morozeni village, Orhei district of the Republic of Moldova. The hoard consisted of two fragments of sickles of the Heleşteni type, a fragment of a knife or razor, and four amorphous bronze ingots. Chronologically, sickles of the Heleşteni type are found in the hoards of the Băleni phase or the Râşeşti-Băleni series of the BrD period. The only exception is the hoard from Tomeşti, most of which belongs to HaA1. Hoards of the BrD period with sickles of the Heleşteni type prevail in the area of the Sabatinovka culture. Moreover, in the Sabatinovka culture, based on the Heleşteni variant of this type, a later variety of this type arises such as the Chut variant, which, possibly, exists even in HaB1. However, taking into account the fragmentation of artefacts, the hoard from Morozeni most likely dates back to the time of the main distribution of sickles of the Heleşteni type — the BrD period or the early 13th century BC.
