Donetsk mountain ridge or Donbas is large geological formation in the southern part of the East European Plain, on the Ukrainian-Russian border. Owing to the peculiarities of its geological history the region abounds of Upper Cretaceou sdeposits with good quality flint. There are many flint workshops from Palaeolithic till Bronze Age in the region. The economic aspect of the Donetsk flint treatment center my be describe in the Neolithic theory terminology.
