The article is dedicated to the station Ciobruci in the Low Dniester basin, which the author discovered in 1971. It is a detailed publication of the materials of this station, and it characterizes history of studies of this settlement dated by the late stage of the Upper Palaeolithic. The station existed in the late Glacial period (sub-horizon of the Upper Black Sea region according to the scheme suggested by M.F. Veklich – pč3). The forms of items with marks of secondary processing refer the flint objects of this site to widely spread Late Epigravettian industries. Based on the materials collected in Ciobruci and other sites in this region the author suggests a new periodization of the final stage of the Upper Palaeolithic in the steppes between the Black Sea and the Azov Sea.
