The article suggests new ideas to the problem of origin of Saharna-Solonceni culture. It is important that Costisa culture (which was supposed by the author as a progenitor of Saharna-Solonceni). The author draws attention to the Edineţ Culture while making some precision to his earlier advanced hypothesis. A related to it Ciomirtan group is thought today as a component of Costisa culture. There are some reasons to believe that Edineţ traditions were present in the Middle Prut until Hallstatt. It seems that these traditions played an important role in genesis of Solonceni-Hlinaia horizon.
