Domestic violence is one of the most serious social problems of modern society. The phenomenon of violence against women persists in all states of the world, regardless of the state’s political, economic, racial or cultural state. Violence against women, including domestic violence, is one of the most serious gender-based human rights violations in Europe, which is still silenced. Many women continue to suffer physical and sexual violence from ex-partners, even after separation, indicating that for many relationships, the end of an abusive relationship does not necessarily mean physical safety. The article advocates argumentatively on the idea that emotional regulation includes several components, including the development of communication and relationship skills, development and naming of emotions, directing or modifying them, so that the individual can achieve the purpose of the actions they carry out.
