The role of the family in the life of patients with inflammatory diseases and associated psychopathology

The paper aims to study the role and implications that the family can have in the life of a patient with chronic inflammatory diseases. Also in situations where there is associated psychopathology, the paper aims to study its implications in the life of the patient and his family. The theme was approached from several perspectives: from the perspective of the family, patient, and of the specialists. From the perspective of the family, aspects related to the mode of cooping, emotional support, quality of life, perceptions and needs and the psychological impact. From the patient’s perspective, aspects related to cooping, quality of life, self-management, flexibility, ability to integrate the disease, level of anxiety and comorbidities. From the perspective of the specialists, the dimensions of the integrated intervention, both medical and psychological, methods and scales for evaluation and measurement of some significant parameters for the state of chronic disease have been reached.
