The Ust-Almin necropolis is found to the east of the fort with the same name, one kilometer to the south-west of Peschanoe village (Bakhchisaray, Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine). Digs on this site were led from 1964 to 2006. Among the most important results was the discovery of underground vaults with burials of Sarmatian noblemen, dated by 50 – early 2nd century A.D. Underground vault 844 is one of the most interesting objects of this chronological and ethno-social group of burials: it is distinguished by a set of festive silver and bronze tableware. Grave goods and dating of the bronze tableware suggest that the vault housed two chronologically absolutely different burials: the first one can be dated by 50-75 A.D., while the second one can be dated by 75 – turn of 1st-2nd centuries A.D.
