It is well known that a number of modern culture's imageries are narrowly interwoven with the characters of classical mythology. The author suggests the idea that such an interweaving is possible also for Pushkin's figure. There are called different examples of characters which could possibly correspond with Pushkin. But the most striking "pretender" to this place is Trickster's character. Such a model is suggested in historiography for the first time. The author collected a lot of examples confirming the suggested theory. She proposed to compare Pushkin's behavior during the appointed time of his life with Trickster' behavior as a cultural category. The analysis shows that Pushkin's image is corresponded with Trickster through a number of criteria.
