The first part of the article tells about verbal aspects of human communication and the importance of NLP-concepts of representative systems. It states that sharing the same representative system is not sufficient for mutual understanding and refers to one more important factor as cultural fund with its cultural literacy and background knowledge. Further the article focuses on the role of grammar categories in establishing understanding. The Category of Case with its Attributive Possessive Case in particular is in the center of attention. The original poem of L.Mueller «The Possessive Case» furnishes an excellent example of symbioses of «pseudo-inversive» constructions and background knowledge. The poem is planned to be used in a linguistic experiment that will lead to some more conclusions.
