The article, on the basis of material and archaeological written sources, considers political situation of the territory between the Upper Siret and the Middle Dniestr in the late 13th — 14th centuries. It was a period in the history of Eastern Europe characterized by political and, especially, military events which were significant for geopolitical situation in Carpathian region.
