The encoded magical inscription from the Olbian necropolis ΒΑΔΩΠΙΣΟΣΕΠΙΚΑΙΛΗΣ / ΝΙΓΕΣΩΝΚΑΡΙΤΣΟΣ /ΒΑΔΕΓΟΣΑΓΙΩΝ, was published by S. R. Tokhtas’ev in 2000. The publisher and other scientists were unable to read the text of the inscription. A. V. Belousov did not rule out that the inscription contains encrypted personal names. Based on system analysis, the inscription is a list of six names (in the nominative case) of 1st century BC —3rd century AD: Βαδάκης, Σωσίπολις, / Νικέρατος, Ἐπιγώνε, / Βάδαγος, Ἰγισών. The interpretation of this inscription suggested by V. P. Yailenko “O King, I call on you again, and should you want, cleanse the healthy; fill them richly, o King, as much as you can with pure properties” seems to be some pseudo-scientific erotic fantasies.
