We describe some recently uncovered coins of the Golden Horde, which were struck in the Saqchi al-Makhrusa mint, near the Danube outflow. New interpretation of emitter’s name is proposed, that is Khan Uzbek (1312—1341 AD). We analyse the complicated political background of this coinage in the north-western Black Sea area in early decades of 14th century.
