The publication is dedicated to the prominent Moldavian archaeologist Nikolay Antonovich Chetraru, who made a particularly significant contribution to the study of the Palaeolithic in Moldova. He also investigated numerous burial mounds containing graves dated from the Eneolithic to the Middle Ages. A special place in his work occupied the study of history of the Moldavian archeology. Nikolay Antonovich Chetraru was a pioneer in this domain and achieved much success.
