Archaeological evidence of Barun-Alan 1 raised a series of new questions to Palaeolithic studies of the Baikal region and the whole of Central Asia. At the same time, this evidence enabled mapping development of stone industries from different sites, whose genesis was not clear previously. The Barun-Alan 1 findings helped marking different directions in lame and chip industries in the Baikal region. The proposed scenario of developments happily includes every available data received from studies of Barun-Alan 1 site, either stratigraphic, chronological or technical-typological ones.
