The article summarizes interpretation researches of agricultural materials from archaeological sources. The methods of interpreting the material: individual parts and their comparison. Material is considered by inductive and deductive methods. The first one assesses facts inherent in the materials and processes; second one summarizes the terms and choices of those that characterize the farming of the certain settler monument.
