This is a publication of two archaeologically valuable hoards of Golden Horde found in Old Orhei (Moldova) in 1963 and 1988. The first hoard contained agricultural tools, while the second one mainly had harness and horseman’s outfit. Analysis led to important conclusions on the nature of industry in the Prut-Dniester interfluvial area in the middle of 14th century. A short but stormy blossom of these towns is little represented by the surviving sites, which makes publication of these representative assemblages exceptionally interesting.
The monograph is meant for archaeologists, medievalists, students and all those interested in history of Moldavia.
