The present article is an attempt to investigate the problems of the history of money circulation according to the Moldavian medieval documents (1388 - 1525).
The work is conditionally divided into 2 parts: in the 1я part all the money units (mentioned in the documents) that were circulating on the territory of medieval Moldova are studied, in the 2nd part the basic kinds of business acts in this coin are in the center of attention. On the basis of the studied material there were composed some tabs to discover quality correlation of the coins mentioned in the documents to the main categories of goods.
According to the coin findings of the monetary facilities of the country there were used both Moldavian and foreign coins. In contrary, all the sums and money in the Gospodar's and his approached documents mention exclusively the foreign coin.
The absence of mentioning the local coins (in the documents) looks strange and demands further special studying.
